Fully Welded Ball Valve

Fully welded ball valve is a device to control pipeline system in full opening and closing. It is a ball valve in which the valve body and the pipeline are welded as a whole. It is opened and closed by rotating the ball 90° around the axis of the valve stem. When the seal fits tightly, the medium is cut off and valve is closed; when the through hole of the ball is aligned with the channel, the medium flows and valve is opened. This valve is composed of a carbonized Teflon sealing ring and a disc spring, so it has a strong adaptability to changes in pressure and temperature. It will not produce any leakage within the marked pressure and temperature range. It has strong sealing, pressure resistance and corrosion resistance, compact structure and long service life. So widely used in high-pressure, high-corrosion long-distance pipelines and industrial pipeline systems such as oil, natural gas, and urban heating.

FAQs:

What is a fully welded ball valve?
A fully welded ball valve features a unified body structure, eliminating potential external casing leak paths for maximum pipeline safety.

Where are these valves typically installed?
This all welded ball valve design is highly preferred for buried gas transmission lines and urban district heating networks.

What are the structural advantages of a welded body ball valve?
A welded body ball valve offers a compact, lightweight profile, superior structural strength against pipeline stresses, and zero risk of body gasket failure over time.

When do I need a ball valve with extended stem?
A specialized ball valve with extended stem is required for underground or cryogenic installations, bringing the actuator or gear operator safely above ground or insulation.

Why work with certified fully welded ball valve manufacturers?
Leading fully welded ball valve manufacturers ensure precise material tracking, rigorous non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds, and strict compliance with API 6D pipeline standards.

How does this valve support advanced system isolation?
Our design incorporates dual seats to achieve true double block and bleed performance. Learn more about what a double block and bleed valve is in our technical guide.

What body materials are available for this series?
We utilize high-strength forged carbon steels like ASTM A105 or LF2 to ensure optimal weldability, structural uniformity, and exceptional low-temperature impact toughness.

What type of seat sealing is utilized?
We offer a resilient primary seat backed by emergency sealant injection fittings, ensuring a reliable bubble-tight shutoff even if the seal faces sustain minor particle damage.

Is a fire-safe design standard for these units?
Absolutely. Our fully welded ball valves are strictly tested and certified to API 607 and API 6FA standards, guaranteeing critical sealing integrity during external fire emergencies.
